St. Joe's Residential Treatment program offers quality mental health treatment, individual and family therapy for children ages 6 - 17 with serious emotional challenges. The program focuses on improving children's mental health and adaptive skills so they are able to live in their community.
Youth counselors and therapists adopt a relationship-based approach with children and their families to help children identify and work toward their goals, which often include learning conflict resolution, building coping skills and honing problem-solving abilities.
With specialized treatment at St. Joe's onsite school and an asset-based approach, St. Joe's Residential Treatment helps youth build their sense of identity.
Whenever possible, St. Joe's engages a child's guardians in treatment plans and goals to increase a child's chance of a successful transition out of Residential Treatment. St. Joe's encourages parents to interact with their children frequently. St. Joe's convenient metro location makes it easy for families to be involved and partner with therapists to foster their children's growth.
